Welcome to Property Black Box, I founded the company to introduce some fresh energy and ideas into the industry.  My vision is to revolutionise the way in which all customers receive residential property management services.

I have worked in the industry for over 9 years, holding senior finance positions for the largest residential property managing agent in the UK.  My teams were responsible for producing and analysing 1,000’s of service charge accounts for residential real estate spanning the entire country.

I am a Business Management graduate, a Professional Management Accountant and a Member of the Institute of Residential Property Management.

I am also a Residential Management Company Director possessing real life experience from both the perspective of a Managing Agent and a Customer.

I have blended all these skills and experiences together to create Property Black Box and change property management for the better.

Why I called the company Property Black Box…

Since 2005 I have been fascinated with the way in which the airline industry approaches failure and evolves the industry for the better.

The name is inspired by the two indestructible black boxes that are equipped in every aircraft and record various data points of the onboard electronic systems and the cockpit voice recordings.  In the event of an accident the boxes are opened, the data analysed and the reason for the accident excavated.  They use these findings to change procedures so that the same error never happens again.

My experience tells me that the residential property management industry fails all too often.  Just like the plane’s black boxes I too recorded these failings and used them to create and design a business that serves the industry better.

What does “Black Box” mean to me…

It means that everything we do at Property Black Box is centred around a tenacity to improve the residential property management industry for the better.

This outlook is ingrained in the systems we create and enables a culture for us to learn from errors to continuously build a better property management company of the future.

It also enables us to challenge the status quo and pioneer new methods, processes and ways in which the customer feels more connected to their development.
